The St. Joe Company is a real estate development, asset management, and operating company with extensive landholdings in Northwest Florida. The company owns approximately 168,000 acres in rural and developing areas, primarily in Bay, Walton, Gulf, and Franklin counties. St. Joe develops residential communities, operates hospitality properties including resorts and golf courses, and manages commercial real estate including retail and office space. Founded in 1936 as a paper and lumber company, St. Joe transitioned to real estate development and has become a major landholder and developer in the Florida Panhandle region.
