Hostinger review
Hostinger is a sensible pick for a settled WordPress site or a developer comfortable operating a VPS who can commit to prepaid hosting. Watch the renewal rate: the introductory monthly equivalent makes the commitment look smaller than the bill you pay upfront.

Reliability, SLA and policies
Our take
Hostinger makes sense when you can match the hosting product to the work. For a WordPress site, choose around website allowances and recovery needs. Premium includes weekly backups, while Unlimited adds daily backups and Cloud Startup adds on-demand backups. That difference matters when your site changes between scheduled backups. For apps and agents that need Docker or root access, look at the VPS line. Treat that as a separate operational decision: access to the server gives you control, but your team still needs to handle deployment, patching and recovery.
The main pricing trade-off is commitment. Premium starts at $2.99 a month and renews at $10.99 a month, but the introductory rate is a monthly equivalent of a prepaid bill. It is not a monthly payment option at that advertised rate. The web cards also distinguish the struck-through regular price from the stated renewal price, so use the renewal label when budgeting. Our judgement is that the introductory offer works best for an established project. An experiment with an uncertain lifespan can leave you paying for hosting you no longer need.
The VPS feature set gives developers useful building blocks: root access, automation interfaces, snapshots and Docker support. It does not include managed databases, so database maintenance needs an owner on your team or a separate service. Weekly VPS backups are included; daily automatic backups cost extra. Before choosing a plan, decide how much recent work you could afford to lose and budget for the recovery process that meets that requirement. Likewise, the Unlimited web plan's unlimited features remain subject to the Fair Usage Policy. Do not treat that label as permission to grow without constraints.
Against Bluehost, DreamHost, Namecheap and SiteGround, put Hostinger on your shortlist when prepaid pricing and the included backup schedule suit your site. Compare renewal bills and recovery features before letting an introductory discount decide. Include Cloudways in your comparison if your decision also depends on how much operational work you want the provider to handle. Hostinger offers chat support, a public status page and an uptime SLA of 99.9% across its plans. Those are useful provisions, but the SLA does not establish how your application will perform or replace monitoring and tested restores.
FAQ
Do I pay Hostinger monthly or upfront?
The advertised introductory offers require prepaid terms, with the monthly rate calculated from the total payment. Premium is advertised at $2.99 a month and renews at $10.99 a month, so check both the amount due at checkout and the renewal commitment.
Can I run Docker and always-on agents on Hostinger?
Docker is supported on Hostinger's VPS line, which is the relevant option for containerised apps and agents needing server control. You will need to operate the deployment, protect credentials and arrange monitoring and recovery.
Does Hostinger include backups?
Premium includes weekly backups, Unlimited includes daily backups, and Cloud Startup includes daily and on-demand backups. VPS plans include weekly backups, while daily automatic backups are a paid add-on.
Is Hostinger Unlimited actually unlimited?
The Unlimited web plan lists unlimited websites, but its unlimited features are subject to the Fair Usage Policy. Check that policy against your workload before treating the plan name as a capacity guarantee.
Does Hostinger offer managed databases?
Hostinger does not offer managed databases in this hosting range. If your app needs a database, plan to administer it yourself or use a separate managed service.
Can I try Hostinger for free?
Hostinger has no free tier. It lists a refund window of 30 days, which gives you a refund route subject to the applicable terms rather than free ongoing hosting.
